Yaron Cherniak – Film Composer & Featured Artist

The Witcher, DAVID, and The First Christmas

Composer Yaron Cherniak

Internationally recognized composer Yaron Cherniak blends Middle Eastern and cinematic soundscapes in film and television. His work includes collaborations with Joe Trapanese (The Witcher, David) and ABC, Disney, and Hulu (Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas).

Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas

Yaron Cherniak produced the music scores for this docudrama, collaborating with co-composer Pawel Bzim Zarecki, creating a rich and evocative musical backdrop with original compositions and arrangements of well-known songs, including “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”, highlighting the story of ancient Judea two thousand years ago. Hosted by Kevin Costner, the special follows Mary and Joseph as they face trials and triumphs on the journey surrounding Jesus Christ’s birth, offering viewers an inspiring experience of the true meaning of Christmas.

The Witcher (Season 4)

I was honored to contribute to Joseph Trapanese and Max Davidoff-Grey‘s Season 4 score for The Witcher, collaborating to fuse cinematic orchestral and electronic textures with the authentic timbres of hurdy-gurdy, Cretan Lyra, Persian Tar, Turkish Saz, Turkish Oud, Cura, and Nag Tarhu. My work appears alongside performances by key cast members, including Liam Hemsworth, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Joey Batey, helping bring the story’s epic and mystical world to life.

The DAVID Film

I had the honor of recording a wide range of Middle Eastern and traditional instruments, featured on Joe Trapanese’s soundtrack for Angel Studios’ upcoming animated feature DAVID. My work enriches the score, bringing authentic regional colors and melodic textures that help bring the ancient world to life. The film, produced in collaboration with Sunrise Animation Studios and 2521 Entertainment, tells the biblical story of David — from shepherd boy to king — and is scheduled for theatrical release on December  19, 2025.
